The Master of Mathematics Study Program will conduct new student admission selections for waves III and IV in the semester II academic year 2024/2025 . However, applicants who pass the selection are required to defer registration for one semester and register in the semester I academic year 2025/2026.

The requirements for applying for the Master Programme in Mathematics are:
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of Bachelor degree:
CGPA ≥ 2.75 on a 4 scale (or equivalent) for applicants who have graduated from an undergraduate programme with accreditation score A; or
CGPA ≥ 3.00 on a 4 scale (or equivalent) for applicants who have graduated from an undergraduate programme with accreditation score B; or
CGPA ≥ 3.25 on a 4 scale (or equivalent) for applicants who have graduated from an undergraduate programme with accreditation score C. - Taking the Entrance Test which will be conducted by the Master Programme in Mathematics UGM (see the schedule).
- Especially for registration for the Magister by Research programme, in addition to provisions 1. and 2., you are required to send a research proposal and a research proposal presentation video or a Google Drive link to email maths2@ugm.ac.id. The research proposal should at least contain information about:
A. The title of the research topic to be carried out
b. The proposed research background
c. The formulation of the problem and the proposed research objectives
d. Preliminary literature studies have been carried out regarding the research proposal.
e. Initial research work and results of preliminary research that has been carried out (if any).
f. Research publications ever produced (if any).
Notes:
- The thesis proposal is not required for applying for the programme.
- The physical documents are not meant to be sent to the Secretariat of the Master Programme.
